Now available on the Multibeam Sonar Surveys page are 25 new datasets covering areas of Long Island Sound, New York Harbor and vicinity, and southern and midcoast Maine.
Surveys near New York and Connecticut were conducted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) from 2012 to 2014.
Surveys for Maine were conducted in 2014 and 2015 by the state of Maine as part of the Maine Coastal Mapping Initiative (MCMI) in conjunction with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
All survey data and their documentation are available on the site for download. To access the new Maine data, select the “Midcoast Maine” and “Southern Maine” products in the survey list.
