Please join us for a panel discussion on “The Northeast Ocean Data Portal – Supporting Ocean Policy and Planning” in Boston on Friday, March 22, from 7:30 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.
Hosted by the Environmental Business Council, the event will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about Northeast Ocean Data Portal, President Trump’s recent Executive Order 13840, and its impact on ocean policy. The program will begin with a discussion of initial steps within the northeast region to respond and adjust to the new Executive Order, and then it will focus on the Portal’s data, interactive maps, and uses, with a case study of offshore wind energy planning and siting.
Speakers will include:
- Nick Napoli and Emily Shumchenia of the Northeast Ocean Data Working Group,
- Deerin Babb-Brott of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy,
- Ted Diers of the Northeast Regional Ocean Council and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, and
- Ivy Mlsna of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
