The Northeast Ocean Data Portal announces a new feature that gives users quick access to maps on current ocean management issues in the region. Map Galleries are collections of ready-made maps on topics that are currently the focus of agencies and stakeholders.
For each map, the galleries provide a direct link to an interactive version, which can also be used as a starting point to build your own custom maps, and a downloadable version suitable for printing, emailing, and using in presentations and public comment documents. Social media buttons make it easy to share the maps on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
The first three Map Galleries focus on offshore wind energy, deep-sea corals, and a proposed ocean disposal site. New map galleries can be added in the future to address emerging issues in the region.
