The Add Layers tool enables Portal users to add data from other sources to be viewed on the Data Explorer interactive map. The layers are added temporarily and privately. They will be viewable only by you and will disappear when you reload or leave this page.
Layers can be added in two ways: (1) by entering the URL for an ArcGIS REST map service or (2) by uploading a data file (CSV, KML, or zipped shapefile).

Projection must be WGS84 (4326).
CSVs must have a latitude and longitude field
Zipped Shapefiles must include .shp, .dbf, and .shx files.
