The Northeast Ocean Data Portal and our partners at San Diego State University (SDSU) and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) were recently highlighted in ESRI’s ArcNews for supporting an effort to make state-of the-art models of highly migratory species and fisheries management data products easily accessible to the public.
The article highlights the data products associated with Past and Future Habitat Suitability of Highly Migratory Species, which were released on the Portal in January 2025.
The Northeast Ocean Data Portal continues to work with SDSU and WHOI to incorporate and visualize updates to these models and additional data products from the team including visualizations of marine heatwaves (coming to the Portal soon!)
