Now available on the Multibeam Sonar Surveys page is a dataset covering areas around New York and New Jersey.
The areas in the newly released dataset are shown in orange on the map (right), while green indicates other multibeam sonar surveys available for download.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) conducted the survey in 2012 in response to Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent closure of New York harbor and approaches.
To access the dataset, select “NY Harbor and Approaches” in the survey list.
