DATA DOWNLOAD
Many of the data layers viewable on the Theme Maps and Data Explorer are available to be used in ArcGIS and other platforms outside NortheastOceanData.org. As listed below on this page, some datasets are provided in downloadable databases hosted by Northeast Ocean Data, while others are accessible from external sources.
- Data hosted by Northeast Ocean Data: Many data layers are hosted on the Northeast Ocean Data server and can be downloaded directly in database files (.zip) from our server. The data layers focus on the Northeast region and are filtered to streamline data delivery and interoperability. Data can also be accessed through our ArcGIS rest endpoint.
- Sources of externally hosted data: Some data layers are hosted externally by other organizations. We provide links to obtain the data from the external sites.
